Aruna spent months learning prehistoric languages, spear throwing, and authentic body movement. The feature is produced by French cinema chain U.G.C. and directed by award winning documentary film maker Jacques Malaterre.

Biography

British actress Aruna Shields, of Anglo Indian decent, begun her education at a convent school before winning an academic scholarship. She then went onto gain a distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. This was followed by a degree from Central St Martins, which gained her a position working with the BBC. However, Aruna's passion lay in performance and while at a theatrical workshop she was spotted by an acting agent. The rest is history.

Aruna now plays AKI in AO : The Last Neanderthal and Maya in PRINCE : It's Showtime. Aruna's previous work includes touring in theatre for over a year. Writing and performing the challenging role of Tracy, in short film Violent Lesson shot by the BBC. Lead role, Neera, in UK art-house film Mr. Singh/Mrs.Mehta a quirky film about a young girl dealing with infidelity (Post Production). Experimental films including underwater feature, Live Bait, directed by Mike Valentine. Lead, Siara, in Private Moments London's version of Sex and the City. Other credits include Ali G, various TV and commerical roles.
